Ozone is a youth club for young people in school years 6-11, so
between 11 and 16 years old. We also provide opportunities for young people in year 12 and 13 (aged 16 and 17) to be young volunteers within the club, allowing them a position of responsibility in which to develop leadership skills. Ozone runs on Wednesday nights (6.00-8.00pm) and Friday nights (7-9pm) at the Salvation Army church in Richmond Street and costs just £1 per week, and is staffed mainly by The Bay Project and volunteers from the Salvation Army, however we are always grateful for more adult volunteers! We have pool tables, table tennis, games consoles and a sound system.
We have a tuck shop which runs weekly, selling Fairtrade products alongside the usual sweets. We also have a different activity every week, ranging from quizzes to competitions to art to chocolate fondue, as well as running trips to places like paintballing, bowling and Alton Towers.
If you are interested, come along one Wednesday or Friday night (during term time)
Sound like your kind of thing? Come and join us!
